You may want to make sure you get to bed on time tonight.
A new study shows the less sleep you get, the quicker your brain ages. Researchers looked at data from 66 Chinese adults.
Based on before and after MRIs and cognitive tests, researchers found people who slept fewer hours showed evidence of faster brain shrinkage and lower cognitive performance.
And while the study cannot prove little sleep caused the changes, study authors urge further research to see what else may affect brain structure.
