FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) — A dangerous sex offender with a long criminal history is on the run. Investigators say they have no idea where "Mark MacDavitt" is and they're asking for your help. MacDavitt has been behind bars for exposing himself to children several times. Parole agents say MacDavitt keeps getting released from jail and prison because of AB-109. According to court records, MacDavitt has a long criminal history. Between 2003 and 2009 MacDavitt was arrested three times for exposing himself to children. In 2009 he was sent to prison for 2-years but was back out on the streets after he served his time. In 2012 MacDavitt was arrested again after being accused of molesting a child. During that year he was also arrested and released six different times for parole violations, which include being in parks with children. He was sent to prison in September 2012 for not registering as a sex offender. MacDavitt was released in November 2013 after serving a little more than a year behind bars. Investigators say in January MacDavitt cut off his ankle-monitoring bracelet and did not register his address with his parole agent. Parole agents say tracking down MacDavitt is difficult because he's homeless. He has no permanent address, no car, and no job. If you have any information about where MacDavitt might be call 'Crime Stoppers' at 559-498-STOP (7867).
