Rams Have Their Backs To The Wall

The Fresno State football team is favored by more than two touchdowns Saturday evening as the Bulldogs hit the road again for a game at Colorado State.

The Rams are off to a 1-4 start. They beat Colorado in the season opener, but have not won a game since. The Rams have also lost their quarterback. But they are getting plenty of pre game respect from Fresno State.

Head coach Tim DeRuyter points to Colorado State's pressure defense, led by linebacker Shaquil Barrett, as well as the return of healthy running back Chris Nwoke.

The Rams are struggling under their first year head coach, Jim McElwain, but the former Fresno State offensive coordinator realizes he must rebuild the program one brick at a time.

The Bulldogs are 0-2 in road games this season, heading into the contest in Fort Collins.
