If you think you saw something unusual in the sky over Fresno Wednesday, well, you did.
NASA's P-3B research plane was out flying spirals above central Fresno.
It's purpose? To collect air samples and measure air pollution over the Valley to ultimately help satellites make better air quality forecasts from space.
The flights range from 15,000-feet down to as low as a 1,000 feet above the ground.
They are due to continue through mid-February.
