Lake Tahoe Boat Accident Strands 300 On Monday

      About 300 people were stranded on Lake Tahoe while on a paddle boat cruise Monday afternoon.

      They had to be rescued after their boat hit a sand bar.

      Lake Tahoe's water level has been dropping as the state continues to struggle with the drought.

      The passengers and crew were on the Tahoe Queen when it got stuck about 600 yards off Regan Beach.

      Passengers had to be ferried back to shore.

      Some passengers say it took more than three hours to be rescued.

      There are no reports of anyone being hurt.The cause of the accident is still under investigation and there is no word on when the boat will be removed from the sandbar.
