Fresno State Freshman Killed In Collision To Be Remembered
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
A silent vigil will be held at Fresno State for Jacob Leasure will be held tonight, a student who was killed in a collision with a big rig Thursday afternoon.
The vigil will take place at 8 p.m. in Fresno State's Free Speech Area.
Leasure, a 19-year-old freshman who was majoring in civil engineering, was killed when the bicycle he was riding collided with a big rig in Madera County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
He was a 2012 graduate of Madera High School and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha, Iota Beta Chapter at Fresno State, according to a university news release.
During the vigil, a moment of silence will be observed at 8:25 p.m.
