Fresno firefighters have been working for hours to put out a fire burning at a recycling plant in South Fresno.
The fire at the Barrios Recycling facility started just before 1:00 a.m. this morning on Orange Avenue near Jensen and Golden State Blvd.
The facility has been burning for hours now.
It's so big firefighters had to call out a fourth alarm response, which means extra crews had to assist, which left fire crews spread thin around the city.
Because of this fire, power is out to a few homes in that area.
Firefighters tell KMPH FOX 26 News this same building burned down about ten years ago.
Right now it's not known how this fire started.
At the same time a large fire broke out at a jewelry store downtown.
The fire was at Procter's Jewelers at the Fulton Mall.
Twenty-five firefighters are working to get that fire out.
A spokesman with Fresno Fire says in total 90 firefighters are working on the two fires.
They're also getting help from Clovis and Fresno County fire departments.
They say at one point every single engine and truck company in the city was committed to an incident and they had to stop responding to medical calls.
