Erika is thrilled to be back in California. She is from Southern California and went to UC Davis.
Erika spent 9-years in the Mid-West. She started her career at KVRR in Fargo, North Dakota. After braving the bitter cold for a few years, she moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
At KGAN Erika got her first taste of national politics covering the 2008 Presidential caucuses. She also covered the EF5 tornado that tore through Parkersburg and the historic 2008 flood that destroyed downtown Cedar Rapids. Then it was onto KWQC in Davenport, Iowa. While working in the Quad Cities, Erika reported on everything from fires, to floods, to controversial city politics. She also learned a lot about the Mississippi River, since KWQC covers Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
In her spare time Erika enjoys fashion, traveling and spending time with her family. If you have a story idea just email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
