A Valley pilot is recovering after his helicopter suddenly lost power and plowed into the ground on Tuesday.
The pilot was "dusting" two fields with pesticide when witnesses say his helicopter suddenly lost power and fell to the ground. Emergency crews say that when they got there the pilot was hurt, but talking.
It took them 30 minutes to cut him out of the wreck. The gas and chemicals being carried by the helicopter was a concern, but fortunately the tanks they were in did not rupture.
The pilot was life-flighted to the hospital with what authorities describe as "moderate" injuries.
