      Computer Chip Helping Brain Injury

The military research agency DARPA is now looking at using computer chips to restore brain function for veterans who've had a traumatic brain injury.

DARPA will fund research into these "neuro-prosthetics," based on experiments last year that successfully restored brain function in rats.

According to DARPA more than 270,000 military service members since 2000, and nearly 2 million civilians in the US are living with a traumatic brain injury.

You can find more info on this research on the DARPA website.
