Clovis Fire Chief To Retire
CLOVIS, Calif. (KMPH) —
Lee Kraft, the deputy fire chief of the Clovis Fire Department will retire at the end of the month, Clovis City Manager Rob Woolley announced.
Kraft worked for the fire department for 32 years.
During his 32-year career, Kraft served in every rank with 10 of those years spent as a member of the management team.
"The Fire Chief for the City of Clovis is an enviable position. The Fire Chief is the leader of a group of people who are dedicated and focused on providing the highest quality service to our community," Kraft said in an issued statement.
The city has selected Deputy Chief Michael Despain as Kraft's successor.
Despain will take over the department effective March 1.
