8-Year-Old Fresno Girl Wounded In Drive-By Shooting
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
An 8-year-old girl had to be taken to the hospital after being hit in an apparent drive-by shooting in central Fresno Thursday morning.
A barrage of gunfire rang out around 4 a.m. near Fourth Street and Thomas Avenue, police said. Only the girl, who police say was sleeping on the couch at the time, was hit by gunfire.
She suffered a wound to the side of her body, but is expected to make it through after her emergency surgery Thursday morning.
Bullets also hit cars in front of house.
No arrests have bee made.
