Three people are dead in the South Valley and investigators believe drunk driving may be to blame.
The deadly crash happened around 3 a.m. Thursday just east of Porterville.
California Highway Patrol officers say the driver of a Chevy Impala ran the stop sign at Road 284 and Highway 190.
Officers say the car crashed into a Toyota that was driving westbound on the highway going 60 miles per hour.
All three people inside the Impala were killed. Investigators say they were not wearing seatbelts and may have been drinking.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.
