Minimum-security inmate who walked away found

UPDATE: Blake Castro was found on Tuesday at 9 a.m. after a property owner contacted law enforcement in Catheys Valley. He was taken in to custody without incident.

A minimum-security inmate walked away from his housing unit t the Sierra Coservation Center Mount Bullion Conservation Camp in Mariposa County on Monday.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation officials say Blake Castro, 31, was reported missing during at inmate count. He was last seen at 2 a.m. Monday.

Law enforcement officers are searching for him.

He was serving a four-year sentence for corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant. He was set to be released in November 2018.

He is described as 5'9", 240 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He has a tattoo of Chinese writing on his right arm.
