A Fresno Unified School District bus driver admitted to downloading child porn after police served a search warrant on his home, according to Fresno Police Department.

Fresno Police say the investigation in to Jeffrey Sipes, 54, began when the department was notified by The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program that a Google account in the area had downloaded child porn from a site.

Police confiscated several electronics from his home. Police say he admitted to downloading the image.

He was arrested on one count of receiving child porn. Police say they do not believe any victims are from the school district, but the investigation is ongoing.

Sipes has been a district employee for 17 years.

The Fresno Unified School District released a statement:

On Monday, Fresno Unified was notified that one of our bus drivers was arrested at his home. While the investigation is ongoing, at this time we do not have any information that leads us to believe this incident is related to any Fresno Unified students who rode his bus. As is the district policy, until the investigation is complete the employee will be on administrative leave and not driving students. The driver is a 17-year employee of the district. Fresno Unified is in full cooperation with the Fresno Police Department, which has assured us that none of our students are victims of a crime.
