Wind-driven Coalinga Hills fire burning roughly 5.5 square miles

UPDATE 4/21/2017 11:30 AM: Crews say the fire is now 5.5 square miles and is about 75% surrounded.



UPDATE 4/21/2017 7:30 AM: Crews say the fire is still burning at around 3 square miles and is about 75% surrounded.

UPDATE 4/20/2017 10:00 PM: Crews say the fire is burning at around 3 square miles. Wind speed has died down. Still roughly 20% surrounded

UPDATE 4/20/2017 7:43 P.M.: Crews say the fire is about 20% surrounded at this time.


UPDATE 4/20/2017 6:36 P.M.: Jeremiah Wittwer from CalFire spoke to us live on Facebook regarding the more than 1,500 acre fire in Coalinga Hills

UPDATE: 1,500 to 2,000 acres of grass burning in the Coalinga area near Lost Hills. There are about 40 homes and buildings threatened by the fire.
