Banks are feeling the pressure to upgrade their machines before they become prime targets for hackers. This has to do with Windows XP.
An estimated 95 % of American bank ATM's run on that operating system. But Microsoft is killing off tech support for it next month. That means Microsoft won't issue security updates.
Now banks are working to replace their fleet. Some of them are cutting special deals with Microsoft to extend their security support.
