By Justin Willis
Using too much water could now cost you.Remember, we are in the middle of a major drought. The State Water Control Board votes today on who can cite you, and on just how much you'll be fined, for excessive water use.State regulators are considering fines up to $500 a day for people who waste water on landscaping, fountains, washing vehicles, and other outdoor uses. All public employees would be able to issue you a citation if you don't follow the rules. That includes police officers, meter maids, and park rangers. If it passes, officials believe it will cut down the number of violations.
