SANGER, Calif. (KMPH) — The search is under way for the person who damaged a flagpole outside the American Legion Post 23 in Sanger, leaving a U.S. flag dangling to the ground. The vandalism was discovered Tuesday morning. J.D. Bennett, with the American Legion, got the call around 8:00 a.m. that the flag was on the ground. Bennett has since removed the flag. But, the pole needs to be replaced. If you'd like to donate to buy a new pole, you can contact American Legion Post 23 at 875-5008. If you have any information on who may have damaged the pole, you can call Sanger Police at 875-8521.
