Madera County law enforcement officials on Wednesday destroyed nearly 1,000 marijuana plants from three homes in Chowchilla.
The marijuana plants were all between three and seven-feet tall, the spokeswoman for the Madera County Sheriff's Office said.
Officers also recovered, a bindle of methamphetamine two weapons and arrested 35-year-old Ascencion Chagollan and 23-year-old Luis Angel Rojas.
Chagollan was wanted in Fresno on a $60,000 warrant for assault. He was transported to Fresno County.
Rojas was taken into custody for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is also facing additional charges for gang affiliation. He's been booked into Madera County Department of Corrections.
