      Tulare Health Officials Offer Free Drive-Thru Flu Clinics

      There's a quick and easy to get your flu shot in the South Valley.

      The Department of Health is holding free drive-thru flu clinics on Thursday. According to officials all participants need to do is drive into the sites, state their age, sign their name and be directed to a person who will give them their vaccine all without their leaving their car.{}

      The clinics will begin at{}9 a.m. at a number of locations including:

      • Mooney Grove Park in Visalia
        27000 South Mooney Blvd., Visalia, CA 93277
      • Jamison Stadium in Porterville
        100 E. College Ave., Porterville, CA 93257
      • The International Agri-Center in Tulare
        International Agri-Center Heritage Complex in Tulare, Walk-In Flu Clinic

      Vaccinations will be given until 1 p.m. and all flu shots are free.

      Any adult over the age of 18, except pregnant women and those with severe allergies, are eligible.

      "This is a great way for people to get a seasonal flu shot," said Ray Bullick, Director of Public Health for Tulare County.{} "And, it is a wonderful exercise for our agency in terms of preparedness for health emergencies.{} We hope people will take advantage of the opportunity."
