Toyota Recalling More Cars Because Of Defective Air Bag

Toyota is calling back more than 760,000 vehicles in the U.S. because shrapnel can blast out of the passenger airbag.

Toyota thought it fixed the problem last spring but discovered its air bag supplier, Takata, may have provided an incomplete list of potentially defective units.

The cars at the center of the recall include:

2003 to 2004 Corolla, Corolla Matrix, and Tundra

      2002 to 2004 Sequoia

      2002 to 2004 Lexus SC 430 Coupe

The government is now investigating more than a million cars from other car makers that used Takata air bags.
