KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) — A 2-year-old girl is on life support after allegedly being abused by her legal guardian. Paramedics responded to a house in the 10000 block of Kansas Avenue in Hanford Friday, after getting a call of a child who had fallen and was hurt. Due to the extent of the child's injuries, investigators with the Kings County Sheriff's Department determined the child was being abused and arrested the girl's legal guardian, Rosa Ramirez-Najar. Sheriff's officials say the 2-year-old is suffering from skull fractures and has been declared brain dead. There were three other children living in the home at the time of Ramirez-Najar's arrest and Child Protective Services is now investigating. Deputies say Ramirez-Najar is also several months pregnant. Ramirez-Najar was booked into Kings County Jail. Her bail is set at $1.5 million.
