      Three Children Arrested/Charged In Robbery/Beating Of 91 Year-Old

      Two 15 year-olds and a 12 year-old are in custody and charged with beating a 91 year-old veteran in his Fresno County Home.{} The search is on for others who the Fresno County Sheriff's Department think were involved in the beating and robbery.

      {}The Sheriff's Department sent this News Release to KMPH News a short time ago:


      Fresno County Sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects responsible for an early morning home invasion robbery of an elderly Fresno man.

      {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} Thursday morning, shortly after 2:00am, deputies responded to a residence located in the 5000 block of E Lewis Ave regarding the robbery.

      {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} The 91 year old victim reported at approximately 1:30am, he was awakened when the light in his bedroom suddenly turned on.{} When he awoke, he was confronted by a black male suspect armed with a handgun.{} While the suspect held him at gunpoint, three other suspects ransacked his residence.

      {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} The victim was then ordered into his bedroom closet.{} As he moved into the closet, the suspect struck him in the head with the handgun, causing him to fall to the floor of the closet.{} The suspect then closed the closet door.{}{}

      {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} After about ten minutes, the victim crawled out of the closet and realized the suspects had fled with cash and jewelry.{} He then called 911.

      {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} The suspects are described as three black males and one black female.{} All were wearing black pants and black sweatshirts with unknown red writing or an emblem on the front.{} All of the suspects were wearing masks over their faces, and at least two were armed with handguns.

      {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} The victim received lacerations to his head and cheek as a result of the incident.{} He was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel, and did not require hospitalization
