Shooting Suspects Found: Visalia Man, Woman Arrested
VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) —
Visalia police on Friday arrested a man and a woman suspected of shooting two teenage girls earlier this week.
Tommy Ponce, Jr., 27, and his girlfriend, 19-year-old Desarae Granillo, were located at the Visalia Transit Center around 12:15 p.m. as the two prepared to leave the city, the Visalia Police Department said.
Police say Ponce shot at three girls shortly after midnight on March 27 in the 100 block of East Laurel Ave. Only two of the girls were wounded. They were transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Ponce was arrested for three counts of attempted homicide, three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and other gun-related charges. He was booked into the Tulare County Main Jail.
Granillo was arrested for accessory to the assault and was booked into the Bob Wiley Detention Facility.
