Rim Fire 3rd Largest Wildfire In State's History
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (KMPH) —
The Rim Fire continues to grow in and around Yosemite National Park.
The wildfire is now the third largest in state history, covering almost 400 square miles, which is bigger than the cities of San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose combined.
More than $96 million has been spent on this fire.
The fire is 80% contained, and this has been giving scientists a chance to go in, and figure what areas will be most susceptible to mudslides once the rainy season starts.
