Former Buchanan High School soccer star Anisa Guajardo will soon be playing professionally for the National Women's Soccer League.
Guajardo, who has also played for Pepperdine and Mexico's National team, is one of 55 players in the United States to be selected.
The NWSL will have teams in Boston, Washington, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Kansas City, New York and Rochester.
The players, including all 18 members of the United States' gold medal winning Olympic team, will be assigned to their teams on Friday.
Guajardo says her selection is a dream come true, and she plans to make the Valley proud.
