President Obama Says NSA Must Now Get Approval Before Accessing Our Phone Records

Starting now, the NSA must get approval from federal surveillance court before access our phone data.

      That's according to President Obama.

He made that announcement Friday morning and unveiled privacy reforms to the NSA.

During his speech, the President acknowledged the potential for abuse of holding phone data.

However, the President says the data still needs to be held for security reasons.

He says the intel has prevented attacks, and saved lives.

The president also said this morning that they are able to track terror suspects, who they contact, and where they store their money.

He wants the intelligence community, and congress to consult on where it should be maintained.

A presidential commission has recommended moving the data to the telephone companies, or quite possibly to a new entity which would serve as guardian of the massive call-records database.
