Porterville Man Attempts To Pass Counterfeit $100 Bill, Police Say
PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KMPH) —
A Porterville man was arrested Sunday after he attempted to pass off a counterfeit $100 bill, the Porterville Police Department said.
The bill was passed off around 10:22 p.m. at the Express Market, 1060 West Olive Avenue.
The man who attempted to purchase items with the counterfeit bill tried to leave the store when officer arrived, the police department said.
According to reports from the police department, the man told officers that he knew the bill was counterfeit.
He was arrested for burglary and attempting to pass a counterfeit bill and booked into the Tulare County Jail, police said.
