On Thursday, November 21, the streets of Old Town Clovis will be transformed into an "enchanted wonderland" from 5:00-8:00 PM, as the Business Organization of Old Town Clovis, along with participating merchants, host the 10th annual "One Enchanted Evening."This special event - established originally to express customer appreciation---has evolved into a festive and old fashioned kick-off to the holidays. Featuring streets decorated with glowing luminaries and festive lights, visitors will enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides and musical performances from various groups including Jubilation Singers, Voices United, Great Danes, Gold Note Chorus A Cappella, and the Ovation Girls Choir. Imbibe in complementary refreshments courtesy of participating Old Town Clovis businesses and preview with stores have to offer for your holiday shopping.There will be a one-block street closure between 4th and 5th on Pollasky. The street will be filled with collectors' vintage cars from the Central Valley Model A Club adding "A Great Gatsby" look to the event!Bank of the Sierra, who sponsors the event, will have their Elves serving hot chocolate at the arbor mid-block on Pollaksy between 4th and 5th. This is the sixth year that Bank of the Sierra has sponsored this event, making it possible to offer the free horse-drawn carriage rides for the evening.The restaurants and shops of Old Town Clovis will be open during "One Enchanted Evening," allowing guests to enjoy a special evening with friends. And some of the merchants always surprise the crowds with special features in front of their stores. This year, back by popular demand, Madeleine's Bridal Boutique will have a runway fashion show of holiday festive ware, bridal gowns and tuxedosit promises to be an exciting part of the evening!Thirty-six merchants are participating this year, offering 36 chances to win the traditional prize of Old Town Scrip for 3 winners! Prizes of $250, $150 and $100 will be drawn on Tuesday, December 3rd and winners will be notified by email. This is a family event for all ages and a very special evening indeed!
