New Problem For New Span Of Bay Bridge
A whole new set of problems for the brand new section of the Bay Bridge
Rain water has now made its way inside the structure.
It's supposed to be water tight.
But CalTrans officials say rainwater was found beneath the road deck on the marquee stretch.
Inspectors are trying to figure out how water is getting in so they can stop the leak.
It's fine to drive over it now, but engineers say the leaks could cause the bridge to corrode, and shorten its life span.
