A plane that crashed in the rugged terrain of Yosemite National Park in December has been found, park officials said.
The single-engine plane was found largely intact by a park visitor near Vogelsang High Sierra Camp on Saturday.
The pilot of the plane, Nicol Wilson, was found dead at the location, officials said.
Wilson, who was flying from the Santa Barbara area to the Mammoth Lakes Airport on the east side of the Sierra Nevada, disappeared during a winter storm on Dec. 17.
A search of the area was suspended for the winter season and resumed once conditions allowed for travel through Yosemite's high country.
Yosemite National Park Rangers will be removing the plane from the back country over the next several weeks.
