Homeless Man Wanted In Cigarette Stabbing

Fresno Police are looking for a man in connection to an early-morning stabbing.

Police say a man walked up to the entrance of a McDonald's restaurant on West Avenue around 6:39 a.m. where he solicited a person for a cigarette.

When the person said that he did not have a cigarette, police say that the man became upset and stabbed the person in his upper body and left arm.

The victim ended up with a collapsed lung as a result of the attack.

Employees told police that the man is believed to be homeless and lives in the canal banks near the area of Ashlan and West avenues.

The man is described an 18- to 20-year-old white male, about 6 foot 1, 150 to 160 pounds with a thin build and a mustache.

He was last seen wearing a camouflage{} jacket, a tan knitted hat and blue jeans.
