Two Wounded In Exeter Shooting
EXETER, Calif. (KMPH) —
A man is being held for questioning in connection to a shooting that seriously wounded two people in Exeter Thursday night, authorities said.
Exeter police officers responded to a call in the 300 block of West Visalia Road around 11:45 p.m. When officer arrived, they found two people who had been struck by gunfire.
While attempting to treat one of the wounded people, a man suspected in the shooting called into dispatch saying that he was going to turn himself into police, according to reports.
Nearby officers located the man in the area of Palm and C streets. He was taken to the Exeter Police Station for questioning.
The two people were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment and one was later moved to Fresno Regional Medical Center.
Officers found weapons that they say could have been used in the shooting.
