A group of innocent bystanders helped take down a burglary suspect in Madera.
It happened around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning on L Street.
Police tell KMPH, Jeremy Williams was in the middle of stealing things from a garage when the residents confronted him.
Williams took off running and was tripped by one of the witnesses.
The citizens then held Williams down until police arrived and took him into custody.
Records show Williams has a long history of arrests, convictions and is on early release (AB 109) for stolen property.
Williams is now facing several drug-related and burglary charges.
