      Las Vegas Hammers Grizzlies

      The Fresno Grizzlies wrapped up their first homestand of the season Thursday night by getting thumped by Las Vegas in their Pacific Coast League contest, 14-3.

      Fresno pitcher Andrew Kown didn't make it out of the second inning, giving up nine runs on seven hits.{} The visiting 51s, who pounded out 16 hits in the game, had a 12-0 lead after three innings.

      The Grizzlies got on the board in the fourth, getting RBI doubles from Roger Kieschnick and Juan Perez.

      After going 4-4 on the season opening homestand, Fresno hits the road to open a series at Tucson Friday night.
