KMPH Exclusive Video - 4 Homemade Bombs Found In Clovis
CLOVIS, Calif. (KMPH) —
Clovis Police say four homemade bombs were found close to an elementary school. Weldon Elementary wasn't affected, because police say the explosives were not powerful enough to endanger students.
Investigators say around 2pm a man who lives near the alley at 4th Street and Oxford Avenue found a bag. Police say when he looked in the bag he found suspicious items, so he called 911.
Officers say the suspicious items were four homemade bombs. The bomb squad robot was sent into the alley and it put the explosives into a bucket. The bomb squad took the four homemade bombs to a secluded location and blew them up.
Clovis Police are investigating and officers say they do not know what the homemade bombs were made of.
