Homeless Animals To Get A New Building In Fresno

It appears stray and homeless animals in Fresno County will be getting a new home.

The Fresno County Board of Supervisors decided Tuesday that the county-owned site for the old coroner's office would be the best place for a new animal shelter.

They would also like to enlarge the site at Teilman and Nielsen Avenues in Fresno.

County supervisors now want health department officials to begin negotiations to buy the added acreage.

The plan is to demolish the old coroner's building and to build a new, air conditioned facility hopefully for under $4 million.
