The search is on for two men who broke into a northeast Fresno home Monday afternoon.
Deputies say the crooks broke in through a sliding glass door.
The alarm company heard the break-in and voices of the crooks and Jim Gibbs' barking dog thanks to microphones in the home.
Fresno County sheriff's deputies arrived and spotted two young men running from the house. Deputies surrounded the neighborhood, but they got away.
Jim Gibbs says, "It's agitating, a sense of violation, something you have to go through to feel it."
Authorities say historically it's a trend that increases this time of the year.
Gibbs is just thankful his family was not home, and his alarm company proved to be the difference.
