The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook advisory for the Sierra Nevada from Yosemite to Kings Canyon.
The advisory says a frontal system approaching is expected to produce mountain snow from 5 to 10 inches Wednesday and Thursday.
Snow accumulations can be expected at an of elevation 7,000 feet and above.
The advisory is good news to mountain communities who have gotten very little snow this season and to the Valley, because of the lack of winter snowpack.
