The Fresno State women's basketball team, with a record of 24-8, will open the NCAA Tournament against California on Saturday in Lubbock, Texas.
The Bulldogs, an automatic qualifier as the Mountain West Conference Tournament Champions, are making their sixth straight trip to the big dance. They are currently riding a seven game winning streak, but have never won an NCAA Tournament game, 0-5 all-time.
Fresno State is the 15 seed, while California is seeded number two. The Golden Bears, ranked sixth in the nation with a record of 28-4, shared the Pac 12 regular season title with Stanford.
