Fresno Fugitive Arrested In Connection To Las Vegas Murder
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) —
A Fresno gang member has been arrested in connection to a deadly Las Vegas shooting earlier this week, law enforcement officials said.
Police say 38-year-old Brian Beltran, a suspected member of a well-known Fresno Street gang, was arrested late Wednesday night after an investigation led police to his southeast Fresno home.
Beltran was booked into the Fresno County Jail and will face extradition proceedings for transfer to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, authorities said.
A KMPH Fox affiliate in Nevada identified the shooting victim as 23-year-old Kenneth Mallet. According to reports, Mallet was helping a friend jumpstart a car when he was shot around 8:30 a.m. at an apartment complex.
