An ag specialist for the College of Sequoias died tragically Friday morning on the campus farm in Tulare. The accident happened on or along a canal bank that separates two corn fields on the COS farm in Tulare.The Vice-President of student services at COS Brent Calvin says 37 year old James Heuer was driving a spray rig when something went terribly wrong. "A 911 call was made from a local farmer in Tulare. He had investigated a tractor with an individual underneath that tractor." He says Heuer died at the scene. Tulare County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating the accident but they have yet to say what caused the spray rig to pin Heuer underneath.Heuer served as a farm specialist for three years assisting with crops and farm maintenance. He was also a former COS student.
