Family Pet Killed During Clovis Home Burglary
CLOVIS, Calif. (KMPH) —
Clovis Police are looking for a burglar, who killed a family pet during a break-in.
The homeowner says she and her husband came home Tuesday evening to find that their house had been ransacked, and the couple's 11-year-old Pomeranian dead in the backyard.
Police say someone shattered a glass door in the back of the house near Carolina and Vermont, stole a laptop and gun, and kicked the family dog to death. Investigators say the thief may have kicked the dog to get it out of the way.
The break-in happened between 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., while the couple was not home.
Police say they checked with neighbors, but no one saw anything unusual.
