An elderly woman managed to run off a pair of would-be burglars from her northeast Fresno home Thursday evening. crooks broke into an elderly woman's home in northeast Fresno.
Police say the woman responded to a knock at her front door just before 5 p.m. She saw a suspicious man and a woman standing outside, according to reports.
The woman immediately called police. But just minutes later, the man used a crowbar to pry open a side bedroom door.
The man came face-to-face with the elderly woman in her bedroom. The woman screamed and both the man and the woman fled, police say.
Police searched the house with dogs to make sure no one else was inside.
But the two home invaders remain on the loose.
