      Eating Disorders & The Holidays

During the holiday season, you typically find families gathered around the dinner table, but this food-centric time of year can be particularly challenging for individuals struggling with an eating disorder.

Executive director for the Summit Eating Disorders and Outreach program, Jennifer Lombardi, joins Great Day with warning signs for parents that may indicate their teen or college student may be struggling with an eating disorder.

      5 warning signs:

      1. Noticeable weight loss or gain.

      2. Helps prepare meals but doesn't eat them.

      3. Excessive exercise.

      4. Withdrawal from family and friends while at home.

      5. Appears anxious and avoids conversations about school.
