A Dinuba woman was the toast of the town on Saturday, as she celebrated her 100th birthday.
More than 100 people honored Mary Tracy Newton at Dinuba's First Baptist Church.
She is known by many in the community because her husband, Harold, had been the city's mayor for two years, from 1964-66.
Newton credits her longevity to eating right, drinking lots of coffee and her Christian faith.
"I don't make plans, just take what God gives me and he continues to guide me," Newton said.
Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren helped put together the celebration and were all on hand to wish Newton a happy birthday.
