Detectives arrested nearly a dozen men -- some gang members -- on Tuesday who were connected to a major home invasion ring in Tulare County.
More than 160 law enforcement officials fanned out across the South Valley to serve warrants and make the arrests.
The investigation into the home invasions began seven months ago after a major spike in home robberies.
Detectives say the men went into the homes dressed as police officers.
Law enforcement officials recovered more than 100 cell phones, a handheld radio and a set of handcuffs stolen from the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
Most of the home invasions took place in Tulare county. Detectives, however, did say that there have been similar cases in Kern County.
A teen was also arrested in connection to the home invasions, but his name and mug shot are not being released.
