      Crash Kills 3 Near Selma

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash near Selma that left three people dead.

It happened at the intersection of South and McCall shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday.

CHP officers say a Saturn carrying four people in their 20s sped past a stop sign and slammed into a Toyota with two people inside.

The Saturn wound up wrapped around a power pole.

Three men inside that car were killed, and a woman was badly hurt.

The two men inside the Toyota were taken to a hospital; one suffered major injuries, and the second is expected to be okay.
