Clovis Seniors Enjoy Thanksgiving With Families
CLOVIS, Calif. (KMPH) —
The Salvation Army in Clovis helped promote family togetherness this Thanksgiving.
It invited seniors to spend some time dining with family members or other guests.
About 400 people dropped by the Clovis Senior Center for a turkey feast.
Hopefully they left room for an incredible selection of pies for dessert.
This is the 16th annual Thanksgiving dinner in Clovis.
"It's happy. We love to see them come in happy and everybody enjoy their food. We love to feed them," said Captain Sia Xiong, with the Salvation Army.
Clovis city employees also delivered close to 100 Thanksgiving meals to seniors who aren't able to leave their homes.
